Epic's ReviewAug 11, 2010
By Mikey G I heard that these discs will fly farther than any disc you've thrown before and that it works well for tomahawk style. I personally throw all thumbers (backward tomahawk) all the time and this disc did not work well for me. The flight pattern was totally off from the reviews I had read. However the disc did work well for my friend who is an avid sidearm thrower. Also, the ability to alter the flight of the disc by bending it up or down is a very cool feature. Great disc, just not for me.

Crazy flight patternNov 29, 2010
By avidhunter I use this for over hand thumbers and it works great. It does have a very wide flight pattern though so it's only usefull to me for overhands in a wide open area. I would not recommend this at all for BHRH throwers it is very very over stable.
Every disc golfer should have an Epic and an Arrow in their bag...Jan 10, 2012

This is a great all-round utility disc and the ability to tune is give kids a great lesson on aerodynamics... This disc can be tuned to be more or less stable based on the application... It is a great for spiral tomahawk throws, high dive bombs, high arcs, and short to mid-range puts... This can be a good driver, but you really need to practice with it before taking it to the tee box...
tomahawk and thumber players onlyJul 23, 2011

disc is awesome if your a tomahawk or thumber player. tried backhand and forehand and the disc is horrible. i throw alot of tomahawk and if thrown hard enough and tuned properly you can get 400ft easy. i am a pitcher and i can get this thing going 500ft. it will flip 1 or 2 time and then glide down. remember if you dont throw over hand often you need to start off slow or you will hurt your arm. ive seen many baseball shoulder injuries and throwing this disc is no different.

Epic.. with a little practiceJan 02, 2011
By theJonster Most disks fade to the left for a regular, right handed throw. This disc can be bent to adjust their flight similar to Aerobie flying rings (read the instructions and bend disc 8 places all around, this is surprisingly effective) so that it fights the tendancy to fall over to the left, thereby giving you a good 60 feet extra on your drive.
This will be my favorite part.. though I don't have the arm strength to do it yet, but the disc can be tomahawk thrown so that it will flip over all the way to flat in the air and then fly straight away from you starting at 60 feet up in the air. I'm close.. tuning the disc and arm strength are key.
The disc is made of the longer-lasting translucent champion plastic so it won't get so munched on sharp rocks or pavement like the opaque cheap plastic does.
I've heard that this disc was outlawed from tournaments and competitions.. but my friends don't need to know about that when I'm playing them.
